The venue's position was very central. Furthermore, it was at a medium distance from a parish church.
Shame the bathroom was a bit tired.

The setting is excellent and marvellous, short walk to bars, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and Pickering, itself one of the main accesses to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and home of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway amongst many heritage attractions.
Couldn’t fault!

Great breakfast options with great coffee. And it's just a short stroll to the town amenities like cozy pubs.
Our room was on the top floor, a lot of stairs to climb.

strategic location, charming decor, free off-road parking
The noisy main road is a major distraction during resting hours. The outdated decor and creaky floorboards could use some refreshing!!! It just needs a little push to improve.

Delicious breakfast served hot with generous portions.
I found myself waking up multiple times during the night due to traffic sounds, which really diminished my overall experience. The tricky lock on the side door added unnecessary frustration, as we were locked out on our first night and had to call for help.

The breakfast was superb, with a great variety of options, including delicious poached eggs. The owners, Simon and Pauline, were accommodating. They even prepared breakfast early for us. The room was comfortable, with great in-room facilities, fresh towels every day, and a cozy sitting area. Being next to a busy roundabout made it challenging to sleep, especially since I'm a light sleeper.

I also expected a complimentary room upgrade due to the noise from the busy road. It's hard to enjoy a night's sleep when your bed is basically vibrating. I almost gave a good review but just couldn't.

We had a lovely time here with a super comfy bed and a delicious breakfast spread that impressed us! There's a cozy garden area to relax in and a charming lounge where you can unwind with a book. The only downside was the slightly outdated furniture, but it didn't take away from our enjoyment. 😊

Delicious breakfast and engaging hosts
The breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious, with a great variety of options. We felt very well taken care of by our hosts, who provided thoughtful touches in our room. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the town center. The traffic noise in the morning was a bit distracting, so bring earplugs if you're sensitive to sound.
